John Peter Pawlick

John Pawlick of Hamilton Ontario passed away peacefully on Jun 19, 2026, at the age of 73.

Born on October 1, 1952, in Hamilton to Mary Kowalchuk and John Pawlick. On September 30, 1978, John Pawlick and Elaine Smith were married. John is survived by his wife Elaine, children Travis, Kristen and Amy; two grandchildren Winston and Murray, and his brother Mark (Gillian).

After 35 years of service, John retired from Canada Post. John enjoyed gardening (especially growing hot peppers), cooking and BBQing, gaming, sports (Arsenal’s biggest fan), reading, going to the gym and collecting. John never met a Tommy Bahama shirt he didn’t like and was rarely seen without one.

John will be sadly missed by family and friends. A celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the Internal Medicine team at Hamilton Health Sciences for their compassion, kindness, and care.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to Buchanan Free Methodist Church or the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre.
