John "Jack" White

It is with sadness and love that we announce the passing of John (Jack) White on August 16th, 2025. Jack was the husband of the late Agnes MacMillan, with whom he shared 60 beautiful years. He was predeceased by his son Shawn, and grandson Jake. Cherished father of David (Lorraine), and Leanne. Father in-law to Sherri (Boo). Proud Papa of Josh (Rebecca), Jordan and Abigail, great-grandfather to Jacey. He will be missed by family and friends in Ontario and Nova Scotia, as well as his sweet cat, Maggie.

Jack grew up in Monastery, Nova Scotia alongside 8 siblings before joining the Royal Canadian Air Force. Once he moved to Stoney Creek, Jack became heavily involved in his community, supported the Stoney Creek Legion as an executive member, and loved coaching his children’s sports. Jack was happiest surrounded by the people he loved or watching a hockey game with acold drink in hand. He was a proud "Stoney Creeker".

He will forever be remembered for his dedication to his family, his love for dancing with his wife Aggie, and his countless stories about his adventures in the “olden days”. He was forever grateful for the care of his loved ones and cherished time spent with friends and family.

Thank you to the team at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their care during Jack’s stay.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to We Are Young, an organization that ensured Jack could see his beloved Leafs lose one last time.
