Celebrating the Life of John A. Grimshaw. Passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026 in his 73rd year surrounded by the family he loved so fiercely.

A dedicated public servant, John spent 26 years protecting his community, ultimately retiring as a proud Captain of the Hamilton Fire Department. His bravery on the job was matched only by the warmth and kindness he brought home to his family. John spent his life as a hardworking and proud provider for his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Debbie (Gregoire), his two devoted daughters, Kim, and Nikki (Kam Nabi), and and his four grandsons, Alex Hatcher-Grimshaw, Quentin, Carter, and Oscar Nabi, who were the absolute joy of his life.

Captain John A. Grimshaw answered his final call, but his legacy of courage, strength and love will live on in our hearts forever.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
