Bruinsma, Hidde (John) Jan. On November 12, 2023, in the early hours of Sunday morning, the Lord called home our father, Hidde (John) Jan Bruinsma, at the age of 87 years at Norfolk General Hospital. Hidde was predeceased by his wife Sia Bruinsma in 1999 and leaves behind his daughters Maria Deason (Curt) of Jarvis, ON, Bonnie Kelava (Marinko) of Stoney Creek, ON and Hilda Corvers (Henry) of Newcastle, ON as well as five granddaughters and three great grandchildren. Hidde is also survived by his sister Coby Sytsma, Tinie Koning (Peter), and brother in law Thomas Steenhuis (Kina).

Though saddened at his passing, we rejoice that he is now free of pain and illness and dwells eternally with his Lord and Saviour.

Friends and family will be received at Meadowlands Fellowship Christian Reformed Church, 211 Stonehenge Drive, Ancaster on Friday, November 17 from 10 AM to 11 AM. The funeral service will follow directly after the visitation at 11 AM. Internment at Mt. Hamilton Cemetery.
