Joan Elaine Rhind

It is with deep love and heart break that we announce the passing of Joan Elaine Rhind on September 17th, 2026.

She felt most comfortable and relaxed being up at the family cottage on Lake Huron staring out into the water and beautiful sunsets while listening to her favourite music with her loving husband Cameron of 52 years.

She will always be remembered by her loving children Christie and her husband Jeff (who was more like another son to her) their children Joshua and Viola,and her son Jason and his wife Jessica (whom she was very fond of) and their children Lily (named after Joan’s mother Lillian) and Holly. Gone before are her loving parents whom she loved dearly, Cliff and Lillian Hickingbottom.

Joan in her younger days before marrying Cam loved to travel on a whim and explore new areas, going to concerts and listening to live music and loved trying good food.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family, friends, and by close neighbours where she lived for 42 years.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral. A celebration of life will take place next month depending on the weather.
