Passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, at Heritage Green Nursing Home in Stoney Creek at the age of 84.

Lovingly remembered by her children Greg (Erika), Kevin and Kimberly. Loving Nana to Travis (Victoria), Zak and Ben. Predeceased by her husband Angus (Gus), parents Roy and Annie, brother Roy and Loving friend Jack Stuart.

Will also be remembered as GG to Amanda and her children Stephanie, Melanie, Elijah, Junior, Brianna and Abel.

Joan worked for 35 years before retiring from Walmart, she enjoyed traveling but mostly being with her grandkids and children.

The family would like to thank Audrey Hawthorn for her love and support for our mother, as well as the Nurses, PSWs and all other staff at Heritage Green for taking such good care of Joan in her last days..

Arrangements have been entrusted to Affordable Burial and Cremation. A Celebration of Life is being planned to be held on future date at Winona Gospel Church where Joan and her family attended for the past 18 years enjoying the fellowship "With a Group of likeminded Spiritual People. A Church with a Love for the word, worship and fellowship together to Jesus our Savior where Our Hope, Joy and our Peace derive from."

In lieu of flowers the family is asking donations to be made to Parkinsons Canada or Alzheimer Society of Canada.
