BUTLER, Jenna
It is with heartfelt sadness that after a brief illness, we announce the passing of Jenna Marie Lynn Butler-Talaga on Monday, June 12, 2023. She was born February 16, 1994 and taken away too soon at only 29 years of age. Jenna was loved with deep passion by her fiancé Brendan Talaga, family, and friends. Jenna and Brendan were to be married in May, 2021. Due to multiple delays because of Covid, they were unable to be married legally, but considered themselves husband and wife. Jenna will remain forever in the hearts and thoughts of her father and mother Mike and Christine Butler, and her siblings, Alexis (Nik), Cassandra, and Charlie (Tala). Beloved auntie to Lorenzo. Jenna was blessed to be loved by the Talaga family, Jay, Kristine, Tanner (Brooke), Tyler, Dakota, Sophia, and Hunter, as well as beloved grandparents Joseph and Lucille Talaga, and Lynn Desforges. Auntie to Tyson. Predeceased by her grandfathers Keith Langlois and John Butler. Dearly missed by her grandmothers Lynn Langlois and Patricia Butler. Jenna will always be in the hearts of her aunts and uncles, Bill and Mary-Ann (Fallis) Butler, Sue and Paul Kennedy, Michelle and Brian Riederer, and Michael and Tricia Langlois, as well as her cousins, Jacob, Breanna, Hunter, Nathan, Maddison, and Kylie. Jenna was a Pharmacy Technician and former lifeguard, and a swimmer and coach for the Hamilton Aquatic Club. She loved spending time with her fiancé and playing her guitar. Jenna will be remembered as the sensitive, loving, and giving person that she was, and she had a special place in her heart for animals. Jenna touched the lives of many on her journey through life, and her loss will be deeply felt by all. She was loved by many family friends who watched her grow and were more family than friends, but in her life had special bonds with Anna, Jenni, Carlie, Taylor, and Jenna. She will live in our hearts and memories forever. Thank you for the care she received during her weeks at the St. Joseph's ICU, especially from Dr. Carayannopoulos and ICU nurses Emily, Erika, Mirco and Michelle. Cremation has already taken place. A celebration of life will be held on July 8, 2023 at Chedoke Presbyterian Church, Hamilton, ON. Ceremony at 1:00 p.m. in the church, followed by refreshments and memory sharing afterwards. Jenna loved colours, especially yellow, and this theme will be part of her celebration. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jenna can be made to the Good Sheperd, Hamilton ON or the Hamilton SPCA.
