Jeanne Balcers

Jeanne Marie Cecile Black was born in West Collette, New Brunswick, on January 9, 1937 and died quickly and peacefully in Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, Ontario on February 21, 2024, surrounded by love. Much loved mother, partner, sister, aunt, second mother, grandmother, friend and neighbour, she was predeceased by her brothers, Lucien and Gerard, and her sister, Irene. She is survived by her partner, Vario; her daughter, Michelle; her son-in-law, Tim; her grandson, Augie; step-granddaughter, Naomi; and step-grandson, Caleb, as well as by her siblings, Richard, Lydia, Yvette, Roger, Marie, Antoinette, Maurice, Lillianne, and Paulette , and her many nephews and nieces. She will be remembered for her resilience, generosity of spirit, sense of style, artistic talents and love for her family. Celebrations of life will be held in both Ontario and New Brunswick; details to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Epilepsy Toronto would be appreciated.
