James Tobin

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of James (Jim) Tobin on December 26, 2022. Jim was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia on June 10, 1942. He passed peacefully in his home, surrounded by his adoring family. Jim was a proud Cape Breton-Newfoundlander, and an even prouder father to Cheryl (Bernie), papa to Melissa, Tressa (Chad), Karissa, and Chaneesa (Joaquin), and great grandfather to Annabel, Adelyn, Ivy and Peppa, as well as an uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He was a devoted neighbour, friend, handyman and founding member of the Possum Lodge. Jim was predeceased by his loving parents and siblings; Terry, Patsy, Mike, John and Helen. A memorial will be held on Friday December 30, 2022 from 11:30-2:30 pm at Marquis Gardens on 1050 Rymal Rd E. Hamilton. Jim's family and friends will be welcomed to share favourite stories and memories of him.
