JAMES PATRICK HEALY
9 JULY 1955 – 15 OCTOBER 2025

On the evening of Wednesday, 15 October 2025, James (Jimmy) Healy passed away peacefully
at his home, due to natural causes, in his 70th year.
Jimmy was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, England, and moved to Houghton-Le-Spring, Tyne and
Wear, in the North East of England as a newborn. Jimmy was an identical twin to his brother
Stephen John Healy, who sadly passed away on 17 May 2024. They were the oldest brothers of
Kevin Healy (deceased), Maureen Healy, and Susan Healy (Gerard Carter), sons of the late
James Healy and Elsie Healy, nee Harrison of Houghton-Le-Spring.
Jimmy has two sons, Nathan Healy and Matthew Healy, of whom he was more than proud.
While living in the UK, Jimmy worked in sales. Jimmy immigrated to Canada in 1988, continuing in sales and having a short career as a tower crane operator apprentice. Jimmy was passionate about all sports, especially football (soccer). He was a lifelong supporter of Sunderland Football Club and was more than proud that Sunderland was now back in the Premier League. Jimmy lived in Hamilton for the past twelve years with his partner of 20 years, Annie Cox, who sadly passed away four years ago. Jimmy was involved as a helper/volunteer with the Oakville soccer club, making many lifelong friends. Jimmy would be well known as a line cook in the Oakville/Burlington and Hamilton areas. Jimmy was very sociable and had many friends and will be missed by all. There will be a celebration of life in the spring. Instead of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
