Helen Christmas (nee Kennedy)

After a brief illness, Helen passed away peacefully on Sunday the 7th of May. She had the constant support and love of her family throughout this difficult journey.

Helen is survived by her loving husband Bill; her children Bill Jr. (Jan), Brian (Michele), Cathy (Jim) and Bob; her grandchildren Graham, Lisa, and Lori; and siblings Andy (Billie) and Janet (John), as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Irene, and brothers Joe and Bill.

Helen and Bill were married in April 1956. During their 67 years of marriage, they shared a love of fly fishing, dancing, golfing, and cross-country skiing. In more recent years they developed a passion for watching professional golf tournaments and Toronto Blue Jay games.

Helen and Bill had their children at a young age so that they could grow with them: to be part of their successes and to be there when times seemed tough. Helen adored her three grandchildren and loved to share in their company, their interests, and in all those special gatherings and celebrations held dear by the family.

The family would like to thank the supportive and compassionate staff at the Juravinski Hospital.

A celebration of Helen’s life will be held at a later date.
