George Douglas Rogers

July 3, 1930 — July 26, 2025

Hamilton, ON

York, Ontario - It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our father, George Douglas Rogers, at home on July 26, 2025, at 95 years old. Predeceased by his loving wife, Kenene; grandson, Shane; daughter-in-law, Barbara; and granddaughter, Mandy. Survived by his daughter Chris (John) Kassay, son Jed (Sara) Rogers, Cherished PAPA to Adam (Olivia), Taylor Kassay, Dakota, Wyatt, and Jacob Rogers. Great-grandfather to Owen and Austin Kassay. Cherished friend and partner Barbara Low McDowell. Special thank you to his PSWs, Alva and Neda, for their loving care. Doug will be remembered by his relatives, friends, business associates, and his cherished team at Pneu-Hyd Industries. Doug spent 52 years creating and building his dream business, manufacturing hydraulic cylinders, where he was highly respected. An avid lover of all animals, the Canadian War Heritage Museum, and old (crying) country music. A small private family service is to be held at a later date. The celebration of his life will be September 13, 2025, at the Caledonia Lions Hall, 1 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lions Foundation of Canadian Guide Dogs, National Service Dogs of Canada, or the Canadian War Heritage Museum.
