George (Grigori) Hrischenko

We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of George (Grigori) Hrischenko after a long battle. He went peacefully at home in the comfort of his daughter Catherine and son-in-law Ed’s presence. George prospered in various technical careers and eventually came to share his knowledge as a professor at a well known college before he retired. His passions were being a Ham Radio Operator, building and repairing things and new technology. His love for Ham Radio in the 50’s led to a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit Easter Island in an official capacity in the 60’s George married Catherine Helen Wren May 31, 1952 and they remained in each others comfort until her passing in March 20, 2009 He will be mourned by his children - Catherine June Hrischenko (married to Edward Kosciejew) Robert Bruce Hrischenko (predeceased George and Catherine) Barbara Suffesick (married to Joe Suffesick; 2 children, Robby and Toby ) Eric George Hrischenko. (married to Kelly Hrischenko ; 3 children: Danielle (married to Matthew Fredson; 3 children: Reuben, Dolly and Elisabeth), Holleigh (1 son, James), and Dean ( 3 children: Dominic, Dimitri and Talia). Dorothy Joan Hrischenko (married to Allyn Terry; 2 daughters, Solara and Rhonwyn) Alan Geoffery Hrischenko (partner Alice Zhou) And his siblings - Harry (married to Nancy) and their children Janet, Susan, Robert and George and predeceased by his brother Jim Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid 19, there will be no ceremony at this time. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Kidney Foundation or Canadian Cancer Foundation.
