Garry Elwood Barlett, 92, of Hamilton, Ontario, died peacefully on Thursday, April 10,

2025, at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton after a season of declining health.

He was born in Weston, Ontario, on Aug. 7, 1932, to Mary Loretta Carney Barlett and

he worked for Effort Trust as a building manager for nearly three more decades.

He also served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Korean War.

Garry is survived by his wife of 72 years, Grace, daughter Kimberlyn (Bill) Meyer, sons

John Barlett and Brian Barlett and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and

nephews. Garry’s siblings -- Lorne, Bill, Harry, Ted, Phyllis, Trudy, Pat and Betty -- all died

before him.

The family of Garry Barlett wishes to extend its thanks for all the thoughtful and

dedicated care given by Dr. Derek Coull and the attending physicians and staff at St. Joseph’s

Healthcare Hamilton -- and for the wonderful support from friend and neighbor Fred Jason

during Garry’s final years.

A graveside service to honor and remember Garry’s life will be held at noon on

Wednesday, April 16, at Woodland Cemetery, 700 Spring Garden Road, Burlington.

Arrangements were handled by Affordable Burial and Cremation.
