Fred was known for his kindness, wisdom and generosity. He liked baking, reading, refinishing
furniture, art, listening to music and he loved joking around. He mostly enjoyed watching over
the grandkids, teaching them to draw, playing games with them, watching the computer with
them, whatever they wanted to do he did, it was the highlight of his days.
Fred was born in Cochrane, Ontario, moved to Toronto, back to Cochrane before he settled in
Hamilton where he met and married his high school sweetheart. He worked at the Hamilton
HSR in his younger years then later moved on to Stelco where he was a general manager.
Fred will be deeply missed by all that knew him. His memory will live on in our hearts forever.
