Frederick George Sullivan, known affectionately as Fred, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, at the St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre in Brantford. Born on January 11, 1949, in Hamilton, Fred lived a life characterized by kindness, caring, and love.

Fred cherished spending quality time with his family, particularly during the holidays, summers spent at the trailer and Sunday walks in the gardens looking at flowers and picking cherry tomatoes—a time filled with laughter and shared memories. An avid animal lover, he had a special affection for dogs and horses, finding joy in their companionship. His interests also extended to the world of sports, where he enjoyed watching hockey and passionately supported the Boston Bruins, embodying a true fan's spirit.

Above all, Fred took immense pride in his role as a husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved children: Kim Fuca and her husband Jerry, Charlie and his wife Laura, and Duane and his wife Sandy. Fred's legacy continues through his grandchildren: Breanna, Justin, Jeremy, Taylor, Crystal, Caitlin, Justin and Joshua, as well as his great-grandchildren Sophia, Blake, and Lucas.

He is also survived by his siblings, Doreen Pelly, Ron Sullivan and their families, who will miss him dearly. Fred was predeceased by his devoted wife of 50 years, Ruth, his son Derek, his brother Mike and his sister Lois.

His warmth and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Fred’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, reminding everyone of the kindness and compassion he embodied throughout his life.

With gratitude, special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre for their compassionate support and care.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or Canadian Cancer Society. Cremation has taken place.
