Ethel Smith Demain

It is with great sadness and a profound sense of loss that the family of Ethel announce her passing. Peacefully, after a short but very courageous battle with cancer, in her 85th year.

Beloved wife of the late Robert Demain (2015). Loving mother of Mark (Liz), Lynn (Cliff) and Sherry (Pam).

Predeceased by her son Rob (Cathy) and her sister Pat (Walter).Adoring sister of Derek (Hilary)

Very proud and doting Nana to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren. Loving Aunt to many nieces, nephews and cousins.

"Mom D", "Nana D", "Rainbow" to many many more children through Scouts Canada and the foster care system.

The family would like to thank the amazing and caring staff at St. Peter's (3rd Fl) and Hamilton General (8 West) Hospitals; as well as "Ethel's Angel's", who took turns relieving her daughter so Ethel always had a loved one by her side.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, December 19 at Fifty United Church, 1455 Hwy 8, Winona. Gathering at 10:30 am, with service to begin at 11, with a light lunch to follow. Interment to take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to Fifty United Church.
