Ernest Gilbert Trottier

Ernest Gilbert Trottier passed away peacefully on May 25, 2023, two days after has 70th birthday at St Peter’s Hospital, with his wife Nancy and their devoted son Devin by his side. Ernie had been battling liver cancer for the past year. Ernie worked as a driver at HSR, Hillfield Strathallan College and Mermaid Limo. He was also a DJ and most recently he worked at Kia and Food Basics. Nothing fulfilled his life more than doing things with his son Devin. Alyssa, Austin, Desarae, Demarco & Brayson brought so much laughter and joy to his life. Ernie loved being a Grandpa. Ernie will be missed by many family, friends and co-workers. The family would like to thank Stone Church Family Health Centre, Juravinski Cancer Centre and Palliative Care 3 East at St Peter’s Hospital, for their care and support for our family.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life open house will take place on Saturday, June 17th from 1 p.m.until 4 p.m. at the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 107 hall, 1005 King Street East, Hamilton, ON. Donations can be made to the Cancer Assistance Program or a charity of your choice.
