Elizabeth Ann Meggeson

It is with profound sadness and heartbreak that the family of Elizabeth (Liz) Meggeson announce her passing on Wednesday, August 28, at the age of 60 years. Forever cherished and loved by her husband of 34 years, Brad; children, Emma (Ryan), Nicola (Andy), Steven (Fred); grandchildren Madison, Leslie, Jacob, Joseph, Julia; and numerous friends and family here in Canada, and back home in Northern Ireland. Liz was a proud wife, mother, and grandmother. A true nature lover, avid gardener & reader, Liz was able to put a smile on everyone’s face with her quick wit and sense of humor. Liz loved spending time with family and friends, and always put others before herself. Her dream was to retire on a lake one day; a dream that was proven difficult with a cancer diagnosis 5 years ago. Liz battled selflessly against the aggressive disease until her final days. Her family will forever be grateful for the sacrifices she made in order to have more time together. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date for friends and family. The family would like to thank Dr. Aljama and his team at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, and the nurses at Juravinski Hospital ODS for their devoted care of Liz. Memorial donations can be made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or Myeloma Canada.
