IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Egon Edgar Albin
Roesslein
May 15, 1937 – November 30, 2025
Egon Roesslein May 15, 1937 to November 30, 2025.
Egon Edgar Albin Roesslein, my “Berlin Bear”, was the light of my life. He was my true soulmate and love of my life. He passed peacefully at Hamilton General Hospital on November 30th.
We travelled extensively during our marriage. It was important for Egon to see other ways of life and interact with people from all over the world. These adventures broadened his scope and influenced his already open mind about other people’s lives. Born in cosmopolitan, Berlin, Germany, on May 15, 1937 he came to Canada as a young man at the age of 19, not knowing a word of English. The German community was very helpful to find a niche for him and every day Canadians opened their doors to help him.
Two beautiful children and their children were a very special part of his life: his eldest, Kay Roesslein and her two daughters, Frija and Natasha, his son, Thomas Roesslein, his wife Becca, their children, Simon, Issac, Emily and Lachlan. There must be a special place in heaven for someone so gentle, generous and loving.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Salvation Army in Hamilton.
The family intends to have a memorial celebration of life in the spring.
