FULLER Edward (Ted) Joseph

Passed away peacefully shortly after his 88 th birthday, on Friday June 17, 2022. Predeceased by his beloved wife Beverley (nee DuCheneau), loving father of Ron (Kelly Pauly), Brian (Sue Porter), Roger (Diana Bucci), and youngest son Barry.

Will be missed by sister Pat Polzin, sister-in-law Barb Nixon and Barb Fuller, brother-in-law Gillbert Runstedler, grandchildren Brandon, Brittney, Amanda, Leah, Samantha, great grandchildren Danielle and James. Predeceased by siblings, Dan, Gord, Frank, Rita and brother-in-law Bob Nixon.

In his early years, Ted was raised by the Sisters of St. Joseph at St. Mary’s orphanage in Hamilton.
In 1957, Ted and Bev were married at St. Joseph’s church in Hamilton. While Ted worked at Dofasco, Bev was a full-time mother of their 4 boys. During his 38 years as a Stationary Engineer at Dofasco, Ted combined his work ethic and his hockey abilities to win numerous championships and individual awards in the Dofasco Senior Men’s hockey league.

After retirement Ted and Bev travelled many trips to Florida and many other destinations with their inseparable mates Bob and Barb Nixon. Ted will be remembered fondly of his love of piano, the grinch, and his mischievous humour and limerick writing.
A celebration of Ted’s life will be held Sat July 23, 1pm – 5pm, Royal Canadian Legion, 435 Limeridge Rd E, Hamilton. In Lieu of Flowers, donations to Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
