It is with broken hearts that we share the peaceful passing of Eduardo Matteliano at home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, September 7, 2026 in his 58th year. He will forever be missed by his beloved wife of 32 years, Anita (Milos) Matteliano and their precious sidekick Bailey.
Memories of Eddie will live on through his sister, Giovanna Cabral (Adriano); his brother, Vincenzo Matteliano (Corinna).
He was predeceased by his loving parents, Nicolo Matteliano (2017) and Giuseppina Matteliano (2018). He was the son-in-law of Ivan Milos and the late Stefica Milos.
Eddie will also be deeply missed by his sister-in-law, Adriana Milos, his nephew, Marcus Milos-Archer; his brother-in-law, Mate Milos (Lesley) his beautiful baby niece, Marijana; and his wonderful nephew Nicky Cabral (Samantha).
He shared a special bond with his cousins Sam Farrauto, Amy Unelli and endless love for his sweethearts, Jordanna (David) and Samantha. He is now reunited in heaven with his most cherished cousin Anthony Unelli.
Eddie will be greatly missed by his many godchildren, who he was so very proud of, and especially lifelong friend Joey, as well as his many aunts, uncles and cousins between Canada, Italy and the United States.
The countless visits from Roza,Iva, Remy; Glen, Jodie (Guinness) and with other friends and family, brought him the utmost joy, comfort, and encouragement through his most difficult days.
Eddie took on his battle with cancer as he did his life. With a calm assurance of what needed to be done, with determination, will power and the ability to still find joy and share his love with all around. As much as we will all miss his beautiful singing voice and our many laughs; to know that you are now at peace brings a sense of calm to our hearts.
Our family extends heartfelt thanks to the Juravinski Cancer Clinic, especially Dr. Dadwal and her Team, and to Dr. Choe and the Thoracic Team at St. Joseph’s and Jane the Dietician for the exceptional care they provided to Eddie.
