DORIS J. GOGO May 5, 1938 - June 16, 2021 It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear sweet mother Doris J. Gogo. Losing her battle with cancer at age 83, Doris peacefully passed on June 16, 2021 at the Emmanuel House in Hamilton. Cherished mother of Gary Nelles, Larry Nelles and Laurie (Steve) Doan. Loving grandmother of Kyle Doan and Adam Doan, all of Hamilton. Sadly missed by surviving siblings Elaine (Keith) Shay of Simcoe and Alvey (Betty) Thompson of Dutton, ON along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Gordon Thompson, Donald Thompson and sisters Pauline Smith and Marion Ludwig. Doris's kind and caring nature will be missed by many friends and neighbors in the Hamilton and Stoney Creek area. Originally from Norfolk county, mom started working on the family farm, marrying twice and moving to Hamilton in 1974. Mom's golden years were spent with her true love, the late James Culp (2003) who could not be replaced. Thank you to Dr. Rosalyn Juergens and nurse Margaret at the Juravinski cancer clinic for the excellent care over the past 4 years. Thank you to the staff at Emmanuel House for the love they demonstrated to mom and our family. A private family grave side service will be held in the near future. Mom, you worked hard your entire life, mostly as a single mom, and we will always be grateful for you. Your strength and love will live on in our hearts forever. Rest in peace dear sweet Mom. OX
