Hamilton, ontario - DONNA YVONNE CRANS (nee Crowther)

April 11, 1940-June 24, 2026

We are saddened to share that Donna passed away on Wednesday, June 24th.

She was the beloved wife to Charles. They just celebrated 70 years of marriage this past May 1st.

She was also the much loved mother to Charles(Mary), Daniel and Nancy(Hans). Predeceased by daughter Patricia(2016) and son Grant(2020). Also much loved by her daughter-in-law Lisa. Donna's sister Pauline(Aunt Honey) and her dear cousin Carol will also miss her.

Donna was so proud to be "Gramma" to Dane, Marc, Nathan, Luke, Bryan, Lindsey, Jake, Andrea, Zack and Logan. Also Great Gramma to Oaklyn, Adler and Hudson.

Donna was such a selfless daughter, niece and especially, friend. As if raising five kids wasn't enough, she was always willing and able to help her extended family and friends whenever needed.

Donna was a consummate volunteer as well, helping at her kids' schools as well as Scouting and Guiding, also to all neighbors in need.

What Donna will be most remembered for is her extraordinary talent and creativity for sewing and alterations and many other handicrafts. We are all blessed to own one or more of her quilts or sewing creations which she was so generous in sharing.

Donna was probably the greatest Montreal Canadiens fan in Hamilton. Go Habs!!

Donna was also very proud to be from the Upper Mohawk tribe out of Six Nations.

A Memorial for Donna's friends and families will be held at a later date.

Donna will be dearly missed. We love you Mom.
