Donald Edward Oates

Donald Oates, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 86 surrounded by family.

Donald rejoins the love of his life Phyllis, to whom he was affectionately known as critter, following their marriage of 55 years.

Caring father of Derek (Patricia) and Cameron, dear brother of Audrey (Alex), Blake (Rhoda), and admired grandfather of Warren (Madison), Damon, and Naomi (Nate).

Donald enjoyed his career as a pressman with Torham Packaging. He never missed a day of work in over 35 years of service.

Donald loved sports and was a seasoned ticket holder to the Hamilton Tiger Cats for over 30 years.

Donald will be remembered for his love of animals. He spoiled his cats with fresh deli meats daily.

Most importantly, Donald’s devotion to his family and friends will always be remembered.

Private family burial to take place at White Chapel Cemetery, Hamilton ON. A celebration of Don's life will be held this upcoming Spring.
