Diana Klodt

August 20, 1948 — May 19, 2021

Diana was born into the Maxwell clan and grew up with her 6 siblings in Hamilton, ON. She joined the Klodt family when she married Dennis in 1969, and moved to Aldershot where she spent the rest of her life. Diana began her career as a social worker, eventually becoming a program manager for the City of Hamilton, always focused on helping those in need in her community. Diana spent countless hours volunteering for her home parish of St. Matthew on-the-Plains, including as a member of the Altar Guild, a Warden, and conducting Pastoral visits. Perhaps closest to her heart was volunteering with the Out to Lunch program, bringing seniors in our community together. Diana joins in heaven her beloved husband of 51 years, Dennis. Her life and lessons will continue to be celebrated by her devoted daughters, Leslie, and her husband Jonathan Wedekind, and Erin and her partner Adam MacLeod. Diana was predeceased by her parents, Leslie and Leila, her mother-in-law, Jeanne and her brothers Bob, David (Margaret) and Danny (Karene). She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Susan (Keith), Jeannette (Mike) and Heather, as well as the Klodt family, and her many nieces and nephews. We are especially grateful to Antoinette Sumampong for her compassionate nursing care, as well as Dr. Dhesy-Thind and Leslie Maskell at Juravinski Cancer Centre, the Outpatient Palliative Care Team at Joseph Brant Hospital, and Loretta Chin at the LIHN. Due to COVID restrictions, our family asks that you take time to celebrate Diana's life in your own way. Instead of flowers, please consider a donation to Food4Kids or St. Matthew on-the-Plains.
