Dexter Edward Drake

Dexter passed away suddenly on Wednesday October 29th at his home in Hamilton at the age of 78. Lovingly remembered by his son Colin, his sister Joan, his nieces, cousins as well as many friends and colleagues. He is predeceased by his parents, James Albert and Eva Mae and his brother Max.

Dexter was a recently retired, long time Parts Manager at Roseland Volkswagen in Burlington. His true love was music and he played guitar in various bands since the late 1960’s,including Bobby Washington and the Soul Society. He also enjoyed sailing and had a sailboat in Penetanguishene and Midland on Georgian Bay for many years. He was a model train enthusiast and a huge baseball fan who had been eagerly following the Blue Jays World Series run.

Arrangements have been entrusted to ABC Funeral Services. A celebration of life will take place at a later time to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice in Dexter’s name would be appreciated by the family.
