It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Leah Szelei (Deb), age 73, on January 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of her husband and children.

Deb was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her warmth, kindness, and loving presence touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Terry Szelei; her children, Kristen Szelei and Jamie Szelei and (Karol Bonham); and her beloved granddaughter, Lyla Anthony, who brought her so much joy.

She is also lovingly remembered by her brother, Michael Fox, her sister-in-law, Sonya Fox, and her niece, Michelle Gracey. Deb was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Isabelle Fox.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses of the Joseph Brant Hospital ICU for their compassionate care and support during Deb’s final days.

She will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. Cremation has taken place.
