It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Deanna Elaine Hambrook. She was born on September 17th, 1942 and left us on March 6, 2023. Deanna was a caring, kind-hearted, and selfless person. Her family was the most important thing in her life, and she devoted her life to them. Watching her grandsons play hockey and her granddaughter do gymnastics brought her immense joy, and she loved spending time with her daughters on shopping trips and lunches.
Deanna made the best sandwiches and loved listening to country music. She spent many happy years with friends and family at Rice Lake. She was a devoted wife and mother who would do anything for her family. Deanna and her husband Willis had a true love story. They were inseparable and not only husband and wife for 56 years but best friends.
Deanna is survived by her loving husband, Willis Hambrook, her daughters Leigh-Ann Jacobson (Kris Jacobson), Cheryl Kettle (Greg Kettle) and her grandchildren, Griffin, Payton, Adia, Hayden and Colton.
There are truly no words that can adequately describe what a truly remarkable woman Deanna was. Her absence leaves a huge hole in all of our hearts.
We will be holding a Celebration of Life in Deanna's honour on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Powerhouse Restaurant in Stoney Creek (21 Jones Street, Stoney Creek). Please join us for some food and drinks to celebrate Deanna's life.
Rest in peace, Deanna. You will always be remembered and loved by your husband, daughters, grandchildren, and everyone whose life you touched.
