David Wayne Newbold

With heavy hearts, the family announces the peaceful passing of David Newbold on September 1, 2026 at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice after a lengthy battle with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

David was the beloved husband of Tracey with whom he shared 41 years of marriage and together they built a family that was a lasting source of pride and joy. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Kaitlyn, Jason (Alexandria), and Alexandra. A proud and loving papa to Parker, Jaxsyn, Lincoln, Eloise, Emelia, Evelyn and Zachary. He is also survived by his father, Dave Newbold Sr., sister Sheri Murray (Dave), and brother Christopher.

Predeceased by his mother Joan and brother Michael.

David will be deeply missed and remembered for his strength, kindness, sense of humour and the deep love he had for his family and friends.

The family would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses, PSW's and Respite workers involved in his care. We would also like to thank the amazing staff and volunteers at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice who ensured Dave's final days were as comfortable and peaceful as possible.
