David Lennard Varey

Varey, David One of David’s greatest wishes was to fly over the pyramids. On June 4, 2021 his soul was able to fulfil that wish. Waving goodbye, his wife, best friend and companion Sandra (Sam), his daughters Colleen Varey (Brian Gerow), Bonnie Marshall (Rick Ritchie) and grandchildren Julianna and Christina O’Gorman, Keneisha Marshall and Dylan Jones (Ritchie), he also leaves behind his brother Mark (Sherry) and family. David will also be missed by his friends Peter Burgess (Robyn) and cousin Gord Varey (Kathryn). David was the son of Gloria Logue and Lennard Varey. He valued friendships above all else and was always there to help someone in need. He will be remembered for his sincerity and generosity. He had a fabulous work ethic and always gave 110 % in any work that he did. David’s inquisitive nature was boundless which led him to reading any information that he could find on ancient Roam and ancient Egypt. He could converse on any subject whether it is nature, planes, ancient history, space and the list goes on. He always loved reading a good book and listening to Jazz and 50’s and 60’s rock. At a very young age he obtained his pilots license. David loved skiing at Blue Mountain, camping and fishing at Algonquin Park and water skiing in Muskoka. He had a great love for comedy especially the “Three Stooges”. Each grandchild was forced to watch it whether they wanted to or not. His boisterous laugh will be truly missed with his time spent with his grandchildren. “Soar with the angels my love, until we meet again”
