David Dennis Gilmour

Dave passed away peacefully at Anson Place on January 22, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be deeply missed by his wife Jennifer, his daughter Julia (Spencer), and his grandchildren, Paisley and Parker. Dave is also fondly remembered by his mother-in law, Karen Matthews, as well as his brother-in-law Dave and sister-in-law Kerry Bracewell. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Rita, his son David, and his father-in-law, John Matthews.

A retired longshoreman, Dave also served as a crossing guard in Hagersville and Tillsonburg. An avid shopper with a gift for storytelling, he made friends wherever he went. Dave was passionate about helping others, and he took great pride in his work with the Jarvis Lions, always giving back to his community.

A memorial service will be held on February 22, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 65 Talbot St E, Jarvis. Refreshments will be served afterward in the Church’s Parish Hall.
