David Albert
Boutilier
March 8, 1951 – April 21, 2026
David Boutilier passed away on April 21, 2026, at the age of 75.
He was my dad, and our relationship grew a lot through the years. He wasn't always the best dad but he did the best he could.
David lived a life that included moving to different parts of Canada for jobs and work, including Hamilton, Guelph, Toronto, Ottawa, Regina, Edmonton, and Fort McMurray. His life always involved reading books, and he liked to sing in church choirs. He had a way of making people laugh with the same jokes every day and being stubborn sometimes.
I’ll remember him for yelling "Merry Christmas" for the signal to come downstairs on Christmas morning, for always answering "How are you?" with " Not bad for an old guy with no girlfriend", and for our simple conversations in these last few years.
He is survived by me, his daughter, Caitlin Pace (John Paul Curry), his daughter Heather Schreiber (Jason Schreiber), and his son Lucas Boutilier. He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A private remembrance will be held.
