Daniel Joseph Martin Sullivan

Hamilton, ON - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Daniel J. Sullivan "Pops." He passed peacefully at his son's home in Port Dover, July 7, 2026, in his 80th year.

Through his journey, Dan has touched many lives with his endless patience, unwavering courage, and profound words of wisdom.

He will be deeply missed by his children Ryan Hayton (Rachel Bennett) and Leanne Battiste. He was a cherished Poppa to Kayla, Quinn, Emma, Nate, and Sophia.

He is now with his parents Jerry and Margaret; brothers Mike, Dennis, Thomas, Pat, and John; sisters Margaret (Walsh) and Mary (Kerchner); and loving in-laws. He will be missed by his surviving siblings Jeremiah, Frank and Gerry, Kevin and Sandy, Anne (Byrne), Kathleen Sullivan, and Gail and Paul Stevens; sister-in-law Gail Sullivan; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Dan loved spending time with his grandchildren, sharing stories and teaching them hands-on life skills. He will be remembered for his big blue DJ's Renovations van, where he spent many years doing home renovations. You could always find him around a pool table enjoying a cold drink and chatting with his buddies. Dan was an avid reader and spent many nights listening to music and dancing with family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at The Brown Barrell, 1515 Upper Ottawa, Saturday, July 18th, at 4 p.m.
