Daniel Robert Smith

Daniel Robert Smith, age 29, of Hamilton, passed away on June 3rd, 2023, after fighting a 2-year battle with Ewing Sarcoma Cancer. He was an amazing son, father, uncle, and friend with a smile that could light up any room. He wore his heart on his sleeve and would give the shirt off his back to those in need. Throughout his journey, he always remained positive and hopeful. He was strong, he was hopeful, and he always took things “one day at a time.” He is survived by his loving mother Tammy Smith, his sister Diana Towns (Travis, Jayden), his brother Ronnie Smith (Layden, Jacilyn), his two beautiful daughters Kaia-Mae and Aurora Smith (Chantelle Chevrier), his two handsome sons Greyson and Matthew Scrivens (Amanda Scrivens), his grandparents Ron and Ann Arbeau, his uncle Paul Smith, along with many extended family and friends. Daniel’s fighting strength and determination as a warrior endured throughout his treatment for Ewing Sarcoma Cancer. He went through many trials, tested faith, and ability to keep going, and always came out on top with a smile. Even on the hardest of days he always believed in a silver lining. There will be no service held as per Daniel’s wishes however, there will be a Celebration of Life at a further date. Daniel wanted to go out with a bang and he will. He loved everyone very much and each day in passing he will continue looking down and watching over us as he spreads those beautiful wings and soars high above. Always in our hearts.
