MATHER, Daniel Patrick (Danny)

March 17, 1954 – June 30, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dan peacefully surrounded by family on Friday June 30, 2023 at St. Josephs Hospital, Hamilton. Dan is survived by his daughters Danielle (Neil) Clements and Tara (Maurizio) Scorcia and their mother Cindy Burjaw. Beloved brother and brother-in-law of Pat (Ron) Mays, Anna Mather, Ron Mather, Jerry (Adele) Mather and Jo-Ann (Phil) Speer. Grandfather to Shayden, Shanelle, Sophia and Pat. Memorable Uncle “Jack” to many nieces and nephews. Dan was born and raised in east Hamilton and was always proud of his roots. Our family wishes to express our sincere thanks to Dr. Bryan Alton, Maria Walsh and the nursing staff for the kindness and excellent care Dan received. We are comforted in knowing that he received the best care available. In keeping with Dan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, all acts of kindness are appreciated. Call a relative or friend you haven't reached out to recently. Help a neighbour. Visit a shut-in or nursing home resident. Forgive someone.

He was loved and will be missed.
