Clair McLean Hutchinson
April 26, 1945 - November 16, 2024
Clair passed away in his sleep in hospital after a short Illness. He is lovingly remembered by his two sons, Jay and Tom, along with his favourite person, his grandson Logan.
Born in Ellerslie PEI to Byron and Isabelle (McNiven). He and his brother Charlie, set forth by train in April 1964 to join his two sisters Olga Martino (John Vale) and Verna Roy (Tony) in Hamilton to start a new life, but his heart never left PEI! Olga and Verna have predeceased him.
As much as possible Clair would travel east to see the rest of the family: Charlie (Irma); Elmer (Helen); Ellie Leahey (Lorne); Stephen (Cindy) and Priscilla Dyment (Randy).
He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, and brother in law Aldo Martino.
Clair worked for Walkers Sheet Metal (Union 537) for 37 years, in Westdale as a welder.
His favourite pastimes were trap shooting, and playing cribbage with his friends at the Hamilton Angling and Hunting Club in Alberton. He also enjoyed Bocci at the Trieste Bocci club, with his many friends and neighbours.
He will be missed, but we know he is at peace, with a life well lived!
He will be interred at a later date in Ellerslie PEI.
