Christopher passed away on August 15, 2025, in Oakville Ontario. May Christopher find peace in heaven with his mother Jadwiga, and father Walenty Gorski.
Christopher was a loving husband to his wife Lucy, father to his two daughters Francine (Jose) and Olivia (Michael), grandfather to Jessie (Jr.), Vernon (Stephanie), Angelina and Christopher, as well as a great grandfather to four beautiful children.
Survived by his brother Robert (Lucy), and sisters, Barb (Douglas) and Julie; sisters in law, Orysia and Olga (Dieter) and his nieces and nephews.
Christopher was born in Toronto on September 27, 1950. He had many passions throughout his life. First sparked in childhood, hockey held a special place in his heart. As he grew up, racing down the ice, slowly turned into zooming down winding roads where his motorcycle engine hummed and adventure fueled his soul.
He loved to be in nature, planting, cutting trees with his father, walking among tall pines and gardening in his backyard. Watching lightning storms and listening to the rumble of thunder with his daughter, listening to the loons in Bala, or walking along the powerful ocean while waves crashed at his feet created a great sense of peace, joy, and stillness.
Christopher loved to travel, holding a special place in his heart for various cultures, beliefs, and embracing different traditions. Collecting music was his way of harnessing his encounters to reminisce in the comfort of his own home, each CD being a different language which spoke directly to his heart.
Christopher worked as a Hydrographer for the Canadian Hydrographic Service for over 35 years, traveling around Canada, Caribbean and into the Arctic to chart the waters. The thrill of being out on the water kept him engaged in his work. However after a while, spending time with his family became his number one priority. Christopher’s work experience cultivated life long friends, Mike and Craig, who stayed with him till his final days. Other coworkers also made the effort to visit.
His fun, loving personality and witty sense of humour was sure to bring spirits up wherever he would go. Christopher continued to make friends everywhere, right up until his final days.
As he enters his eternal journey, may he forever be remembered and always be in our hearts.
May he rest in peace
