It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cathy Isabelle Vis, who went to be with her Lord and Saviour on April 4, 2026, at the age of 63. Cathy passed away surrounded by her loving family, following complications from surgery.

Cathy was a woman of unwavering faith, and we take comfort in knowing she is now welcomed into heaven and joyfully reunited with her beloved parents.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Harold, and her children: Carrie (Jonny), Vanessa (Shay), Brittany (Dave), Catherine (Derek), Jesse (Mikeelie), and Shannon (Brett). She also leaves behind her dear sister, Sherry (Len), along with many cherished in-laws, nieces, nephews and close friends.

Cathy was a proud and loving “Nina” to her grandchildren: Izzy, Avery, Jacob, Isabella, Madison, Brayden, Tobias, and soon-to-arrive baby Owen. Her love for her family was constant, deep, and unconditional.

Known for her strong faith and compassionate heart, Cathy had a special love for all people - especially those who felt broken, unloved, or unseen. Her kindness, warmth, and genuine care for others left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 12, from 2:00–6:00 p.m., and a funeral service will take place on Monday, April 13, at 11:00 a.m. at Meadowlands Fellowship Church, 211 Stonehenge Drive, Ancaster.

Cathy’s life was a beautiful testament to faith, love, and grace, and her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. As she would say “God loves you and I love you and I thank the Lord for precious gift of you”.
