Carolyn MacMillan (Leard), 75, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026, in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 30, 1951, in Borden, Prince Edward Island, Carolyn carried the warmth and community spirit of her East Coast upbringing throughout her life.

She was a natural people person, and her vibrant personality easily uplifted those around her. Carolyn had a deep passion for adventure, enjoying memorable travels around the globe and exploring new places. In addition to her love for travel, she enjoyed baking and making quilts for her family. Above all, her greatest joy was her family, to whom she devoted endless love, support, and wisdom.

Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Hinson; her loving children, Donna (Paul) and Brad (Nicole); and her precious grandchildren, Rhyllie and Jake. She is also fondly remembered by her brothers, Ralph (Diane), Gary (Marg), and James (Nancy), and her sisters, Dianne Arnold and Dorothy Dube (Gilbert) and sister-in-law Marjorie. Carolyn was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Millie Leard; her brother, Freddie; and her brother-in-law, Keith Arnold. She will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and treasured friends.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services are planned. Instead of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation in Carolyn's honor to Ovarian Cancer Canada.
