Carol Cogswell

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Carol Jeanette Cogswell (née Dixon) on Friday, November 6, 2020, at the age of 48 years young. Carol – or Jeanette, as she was known to her loved ones – was a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt and friend. Carol was well known for her lack of patience, not holding back her opinion and not sugar coating a thing. With that said she was also the most genuine, kind-hearted person you would ever meet, leaving an impression on every one of us. She worked as a PSW for over 20 years and was a caregiver through and through. She spent her last few years on this earth doing everything she could to care for her father-in-law, John Cogswell, before he passed in July. She loved hosting gatherings where she could be surrounded by loved ones doing whatever she could to bring a smile to our faces. You were never just a friend to her; you were always part of the family. Carol was preceded in death by her father, Gordon; her mother, Veronica; as well as her son Gerald. She will be forever remembered by her husband of 21 years, Douglas, her children, Chelsea (Kevin), Gordon and Adam and only grandchild, Sydney. She will be sadly missed by her siblings, Donna (Wayne), June (Gordon) and Mary (Chris) and never forgotten by her best friends, Jen and Mark, along with numerous other family members and friends. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
