Bruce George Moote

I am sad to announce the passing of my brother Bruce, on December 22nd 2024, aged 74 at St. Peter’s hospital in Hamilton, from complications of C.O.P.D. Survived by his sister Joan and son Matthew, remembered by Melodee. Uncle to Craig Stewart, and the late Jeff Stewart. Predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Helen Moote, and his brother-in-law, Terry Culnane.

Bruce was employed at Airport Ford, parts department for many years. Bruce will be remembered by his friends at 30 Sanford ave S, including Doug. Bruce discovered that he had an artistic flare for drawing flowers and would often share his art with his friends and family. He was a diehard Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He lived his life on his own terms and lived as freely as he could.

We would like to express a wholehearted thank you to Sara and her team of PSWs at Bayshore Healthcare in Hamilton. Also to the V.O.N. nurses, the team of doctors and nurses at St. Joseph's, and St. Peter’s hospital palliative care 3-East. My sincerest thank you and appreciation goes to David Lasci, with all his help in the last five years of Bruce’s declining health. Bruce will always be my little brother.

Bruce has been cremated and will be laid to rest with his parents at Woodland cemetery in the springtime.
