Passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 11 2025. At the General Hospital at the age of 59.

Lovingly remembered by his spouse of 11 years and friend since kindergarten, Tammy Whittaker-Pitkeathly, and by his children David (Fiona), Stephenie, Michelle, Danielle (Jason), Daniel. Cherished Papa of Wesley, Kiersten, Bennett, Colby, Emerson, and Finnley.

Dear brother of Pauline (Bob), Len (Nicky), and Kenny. Beloved member of Pitkeathly family and good friend of ex-wife Bonnie.

Predeceased by mother Jean, father Kenneth, and brother David.

Brian enjoyed playing drums, singing his favourite songs, cooking, and watching or attending his favourite sporting events. Video chats or visiting the grandkids was what truly kept him going.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Shag and the dialysis team at St Joseph's Hospital for keeping Brian with us for the past 4 years. He so enjoyed bantering and laughing with the nurses who came to our home each day - I'm going to miss them dearly.

A celebration of life will be held in June, with details to be shared in the spring. A private family memorial and burial will follow in the days after the celebration.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Hamilton would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
