Brenda Mason (nee Gunn)

Sept 9, 1953- May 10th 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Brenda Mason (nee Gunn). Loving mother to Jamey, Brandon (Alleasha) and Stacey (Luke)

Grandmother to Andrew, Clayton, Ayva, Emma, Breahnna and Mya. Sister to Glenn and sister in law to Owen. Predeceased by sister Glory and brother Alan. Adoring aunt to Darcy, Sean, Kyle and Josh. Lifelong friend to Kathy, cherished friend to many.

Brenda will always be remembered for her unconditional love and kindness. Her door was always open and so many friends, family and colleagues could find peace and comfort in her company. Her smile would light up a room and she never said an unkind word. Brenda saw the positive in everything and everyone.

She was incredibly hard working and dedicated. There was nothing that she couldn’t do, from driving taxi, working as one of the only female loggers to attending Mohawk college for Social Work as a young single mother.

She began her career at Rygiel Homes and went on to spend over 26 yrs at Juravinski Hospital.

Special thanks to St Peters Hospital for the wonderful care and support from all staff.

A celebration of life will take place Saturday June 8th, from 1pm to 4pm at Ye Olde Squire 550 Fennell Ave E, Hamilton, Ontario, L8V 1S9.
