Aurele was also known as “Sam” to many, he belonged to the Ironworkers Local 736 where he helped in the construction of both the Lift bridge and Skyway bridge. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time in his backyard tinkering with various home projects. A lover of country music, you could always hear Dolly Parton or Reba McIntyre when you were at his home. Along with his passion for gardening he loved fishing, cooking and yes loved to dance.
He always had a story to tell and loved to talk of his childhood with his brothers and sisters at his childhood home in Gaspe. Always a joker and someone who loved to laugh and enjoyed hearing a good joke as much as telling one.
