It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Art on April 17th in Juravinski Hospital at the age of 70. Lovingly remembered by his wife Denise Lake, children Brenden (Syvong) Cole, Dennis (Deanna) Millward, and Stephanie (Ernie) Nicoletti, sister Nancy (Robert) Simpson and brother Raymond Cole. Loving papa to Amanda (John), Autumn-Rose, Brandon (Chelsey), Danielle, Erica (Conrad), Jessica (Brett), Julia, Sara, Scarlett and great grandbabies Charlotte and Maddisyn. Art was a much beloved Uncle, Great Uncle, and brother-in-law as well as family of the heart to many more. He is predeceased by parents Oscar and Martha and eldest brother William (Dianne). 

Art was an exceptional human being, always quick with a joke, a hug, or words of wisdom. He possessed an overwhelming capacity for love and forgiveness that few others can claim. He was a lover of family, his art, classic rock music and the Philadelphia Eagles. His loss will be felt by all who had the pleasure to know him.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Juravinski Hospital for their kindness, dedication, and good humour while taking care of Art in his last weeks. It truly made the time easier knowing that a good team was there to help and comfort. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Affordable Burial and Cremation. A Celebration of Life will take place at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 622 - 12 King St. E., Stoney Creek, L8G 1J8 on Sunday, April 26th from 1:00pm until 4:00pm. Parking available in the rear. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Lung Association are appreciated, but not necessary.
