Ancaster Ontario, 75 Dunham Dr. - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Anne Merlino, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the remarkable age of 102.

Anne lived her life with purpose, simplicity, and connection. She valued family deeply and nurtured bonds that spanned generations.

Predeceased by her husband of seventy years, Anthony Merlino, Anne is lovingly remembered by her children, Gale Hanam (Morgan), Denise Merlino (the late Bud Kemp, Bruce Poland), Dawn Merlino (Elio Cino); and will be profoundly missed by her eight grandchildren, Brittany (Reed), Elio Jr. (Iaci), Quinn (Molly), Julian (Kristi), Kara (Cody), Briana (Nick), Braden (Katie), and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward the love, wisdom, and strength she shared so generously.

Anne was the last of her generation within our family. We take comfort in imagining her reunited with loved ones who went before her, where they are surely celebrating her arrival.

Mom, thank you for everything you were, for everything you gave, and for every sacrifice you made, including those we didn't always see. You will be missed deeply and remembered always.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life, Sunday, January 4th from 2 - 4 p.m. at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 1010 Botanical Dr, Burlington.
