Andrea Gurin

It is with profound sadness that the family of Andrea Gurin (Durisova) announce her passing on December 21, 2024, at the age of 56.

Andrea was born on October 19, 1968 in (Nemsova, Slovakia). She is survived by her mother Eleonóra Ďurišová and brother Ladislav Duris and predeceased by her father Ladislav Duris, (Nemsova, Slovakia).

She will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed by the love of her life and husband of 36 years, Anton Gurin and their two sons, Anton Mathew and David Michael Gurin.

She will also be sadly missed by the Gurin family (Trencín, Slovakia) and many nieces, and nephews, and friends.

Andrea was intelligent, generous, kind, she enjoyed being involved in Slovak dancing (Vychodna Slovak Dancers). She was a hard worker, having numerous long-term jobs throughout her life, including Arrow Electronics.

She enjoyed working, traveling across Canada with her family, listening to music, celebrating holidays, watching movies, and most of all, she wholeheartedly loved knitting and crocheting.

We have many fond memories that will be carried in our hearts and she will be forever remembered and missed.

Visitation will be held at Sts Cyril and Methodius Parish, 5255 Thornwood Drive, Mississauga on Saturday, February 8th, beginning at 10:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Burial and graveside service will then take place at Woodland Cemetery, 700 Spring Garden Road, Burlington, ON.
