What the world has lost, Heaven has gained, and those who loved him carry his joy and laughter in their hearts now forever. On June 5, 2021 at 8:50 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton, Roy Clause peacefully walked that "Beautiful Mile” from Earth to Heaven in his 97th year. He was a faithful husband to the late Flo Clause, wonderful father to Mary (Gerry) Storbeck, Christopher (Rose-Frances) Clause and the late Debbie Clause, amazing grandfather to Melanie (Warren) Pulling, Karl Storbeck, Kris Storbeck, Hanna Corkum, Emma Clause and Riley Clause, and caring great-grandfather to Hayden, Audrey, Seine and Maddie Pulling. He was a WWII veteran, a former employee of Westinghouse, a member of Faith Lutheran Church, a lover of Opera and an audiophile and record collector. He loved building electronic audio kits from Heathkit back in the day as well. His greatest love though was his family, whom he devoted his care and worry, who gave him his greatest joys. Although we cannot imagine a life without you now, we are grateful for the life we had with you. Your legacy will live on in the lives of those whom you loved. We wish to thank the nurses and doctors on CTU Central and 4 Chest, as well as the staff of Victoria Gardens, for the great care that Dad and Papa received. You helped make this journey easier for everyone. In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to do a random act of kindness for a stranger in his memory. A Celebration of Roy’s life will take place at a later date due to Covid-19 restrictions.
